This post was meant to go up yesterday but due to my laptop having a serious meltdown (think its time for me to invest in a new one – anyone got any suggestions?) I have had to sneek into work early to write it!
It will only be a short one today, however, and next month see’s a month of catching up on all things that I have brought in the last few weeks and haven’t had chance to write about and also any old favourites I have rediscovered!
Monday morning saw me up at the crack of dawn (4.45am to be precise) to get on a train to London for a Fundraising Conference. I think I will do an ‘About Me’ post in April too so you can find out about my role as a fundraiser and other fascinating facts (not!) about me!
For once there were no train delays and I was lucky enough not to have to face rush hour on the tube as I walked from Marylebone to the Conference Centre, which was at the end of Harley Street. I kept thinking, as I was walking down Harley Street, whether there were any famous people having some work done. All the buildings are pretty grand down there and I got very curious!
Anyhow, after a day of listening to some fabulous speakers, I had a bit of time to kill before my train was due to leave so, as Regent Street was just round the corner, I made for Liberty’s! On the way, I spotted Kiko and went inside to have a look – I wish I’d had more time to browse all the lovely eyeshadows, they were beautiful! Will definitely have to go back soon to pick up a few jewels!
I love Liberty’s, for its building inside and out, and for the unusual layout of the store, where unless you are a regular visitor you never know which section you are going stumble onto next! I resisted all the temptations of the beauty counters having had a major shopping session in Birmingham that weekend (more of that to come in another post!) but just wandered around aimlessly to smiley counter assistants and the beautiful smells of the perfume counters!
I then decided to navigate my way back to the train station, getting slightly lost and stumbling across John Bell & Croydon and recognised from a blog post and possibly a haul I saw Lily Pebbles do, and knew I had to spare 5 minutes to have a browse! It was a magical place full of different brands that I had heard of on the blogging world but had never come across in Birmingham. I did succumb to a few purchases (again more on that in another post!)!
I will defiantly try to do more wandering around London in the future as you never know what you are going to find!
This post is very wordy, sorry about that! So here is a pic of a little treat I picked up on Oxford Street for my journey home!
Ben’s Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cookie and a Caramel Steamed Milk from AMT! Yummy!
Computer depending I will get another post up on Sunday!
Have a great Friday everyone!
(p.s. just realised that this is actually quite a long post! Sorry!)
